The Early 1950s Japanese Sukajan Reversible Jacket is a unique and historical piece that served as a souvenir for Korean War soldiers. Handmade in Japan during the early 1950s, this original reversible jacket showcases the themes of militaria and is a tangible piece of history from the Korean conflict. This is not a repro

The black backside of the jacket shows a dragon with flower embroidery. The front shows 2 embroidered eagles.
The blue and yellow backside of the jacket shows a map of Japan and its major cities. Along with Mt. Fuji. The front side of the jacket show embroidered mt Fuji.

There is a string pull shown in one of the pictures and there a few small ones in the stitching on the jacket.

Also shown is a picture of the zipper which indicates its age and time of manufacture.

The jacket is in great condition for its age and was kept in a cedar chest for most of its life so it smells like cedar.
The Jacket was purchased by my Great Uncle Paul who served in the Korean War.
