All-Clad has 5 layers on each pan. The copper layer is in the center/middle center layer for easier more even cooking by distributing the heat evenly. Can be used on all types of cook tops! .

Yes the pan is used it has scratches on the bottom from using a gas range. My goal is to describe the pan as best to my knowledge by adding additional photos taken today.
