Second edition hardcover copy of Fly-Fishing & Fly-Making for Trout, Bass, Salmon Etc. by J. Harrington Keene (Forest & Stream Publishing, 1891). Beautiful antique fly fishing book, with illustrations throughout and with two pages (miraculously well-preserved) of glued/taped-down flies, feathers and materials for reference. Pictorial cover with gilt inlay and accents.
Moderate wear to covers, especially around the edges and to corners which are bumped and have some fraying areas. Binding is split and pages are brittle - title page has been taped together and some pages appear to have separated from binding and were glued back into place. Hinges cracked. Stamp and previous owner’s inscription to fep. Embossed “MEB” stamp to top fore corner of first few pages. Tanning pages with some soiling from handling towards outer edges. See photos for condition.
