This is a wonderful hat. It was hard to capture the shape in the photos. The hat is a thirties version of the tricorne style that was popular in the teens. It's made of velvet with a silk lining. The lining is slightly shattered. There are rhinestone decorations on either side as well as hat pins with a faux pearl, placed to look as if the pins are holding the edges of the hat back. The label inside reads Christine Inc, One East Fifty Third Street, New York. There is a short veil in front that is in excellent shape. Really a neat piece from the early thirties!
Hat is meant to be pinned to the head so it will fit any head size. It is 10" across and approx 4" deep.
