Set of four decorative antique butter pats with intricate blue and white design. Perfect for display or serving.
This small, scalloped dish features the "flow blue" design, a style of transfer print china popular from the mid-1800s onwards.
The design uses a cobalt blue color that intentionally blurred during firing, giving a soft, "flowing" appearance.
The specific pattern is often referred to as "Osborne" or "Alaska" by the manufacturer Grindley.
These dishes typically measure around 3 to 3 1/4 inches in diameter and were used for serving individual portions of butter.
Majority of wear on bottom of dishes. Edges also show wear. One plate shows some cracking. Plenty of life left.
