Vintage 1970's Zio Luigi and Brookvalley by Fairfield lion tunic shirt/top/blouse. Back zipper closure. Stretchy poly or nylon based fabric. Not lined. Excellent vintage condition. But interestingly, in 2020 Dior used the same print in their collection. I added a collage pic of how the designer used the print. From what I understand, the print most likely came from Uniwax, which is an a leading West African manufacturer of wax-print fabrics that has been in business since 1968. The fabric is signed by Zio Luigi, so he may have gotten some of his inspiration and fabrics from that company or he gave his inspiration to them. I cannot find any history on Zio Luigi.
It fits like a Medium. The armholes are high and tight. Please see armhole circumference.
