This listing is for a gorgeous, skillfully painted decorative oval dish by renown California artist Suzanne Sloan Lewis. The piece could very well be used for practical purposes, but who would want to cover the beautifully painted scene? Love this sweet motif of a wicker rocking chair and a table all set up for a tea in the background. The painterly application of cobalt oxide is done quite elegantly. The platter/shallow bowl measures roughly 2 x 13 3/4 x 8 3/4". The dish is in good condition with no issues to mention. Per research, Suzanne Lewis no longer produces ceramic work, but she still is active as a painter.
