Vintage Akai AH-9 Head Demagnetizer, made in Japan by Akai Electric Co., Ltd.
This is a classic tool used for demagnetizing tape heads, guides, and metal tape-path components on cassette decks, reel-to-reel machines, and other analog tape equipment. Regular demagnetizing helps reduce hiss, distortion, and loss of high frequencies.
