A highly collectible vintage art glass bowl by Fenton Art Glass Company in Georgian or Colonial Thumbprint pattern with a beautiful hand-crimped ruffled rim. Colorway is an absolutely stunning Amberina, a Ruby red transitioning to golden yellow.
This piece is a "mould acquisition" item, evidenced by the rare Script "F" mark embossed on the interior center. The script "F" mark was introduced by Fenton in 1983 only for pieces produced using molds acquired from other legendary glass houses. This mark distinguishes this bowl from standard production runs and is often fainter due to the fire-polishing process, making it a unique find for serious Fenton enthusiasts.
This beautiful bowl is confirmed to be Cadmium-rich. It exhibits a brilliant, fiery yellow/orange glow under both 365nm and 395nm UV light (blacklight), as shown in the photos.
