Lead crystal console bowl w/ intricate diamond-cut sawtooth rim and an elegant etched daisy and leaf pattern. It weighs 3 lb 7 oz.
Testing & Research Results
Fluoresces a vivid lime green under UV light (365nm), confirming high manganese content.
Natural light reveals strong prismatic "rainbow" refraction (dispersion) in the deep mitre cuts, indicating high lead content.
Sawtooth tips are smooth, but a distinct sharp ridge along the outside rim of each point suggests high-quality wheel-finished work.
Based on my research, this appears to be high-quality Dual-Process/Wheel-Cut Lead Crystal from the 1940s or 1950s. Not a professional appraiser; please use photos for due diligence as maker/era cannot be guaranteed.
CONDTION NOTE: 2 small chips are on the wide interior base of 2 of the teeth. Being on the inside, the exterior points look excellent and flaws are very difficult to see during normal use. Price adjusted accordingly.
