A classic American ARC steady work careful attention to detail by the early fifties JMSs business was humming folks wanted jewelry that looked special but didn't break the bank. They advertised in glossy catalogs and sold to fancy department stores.
JMS created affordable brooches, Necklaces, earrings and bracelets from genuine gold sometimes 10K up to 18K along side jade and sparkly rhinestones and cultured pearls.
1963 JMS changed and got new owners and changed their name to J.M.S. jewelry Mfg Co.
These days anything with JMS stamped on draws attention especially at auctions and estate sales. This brooche comes with a sterling silver gold-plated 18-inch chain because she is not just a simple brooche but also a necklace!
