Persian Khatam Mosaic Box VTG Inlaid Wooden Jewelry Trinket Handmade BeadRage

So here's the story on my box. In 1990 I met a man who would come to be a life-long friend - in Cairo Egypt. He gifted me this box later in life. It's beautifully crafted - never used - I have no knowledge of how old it actually is. I went to visit him in San Jose Costa Rica a few years after that. It was then he gave me "the box" to remind me of our time in Egypt. At that time I did not know his time was limited. He did pass on. I've kept "the box" on display in a cabinet for many years. Time for me to now pass it along too. It measures 8.5" long 4.6" wide and 2" deep. It is in immaculate condition. I hope it's going to a good home where it will become a treasure to the new owner. His name was Art Graham.. He was a global traveler. I had no idea how long he possessed "the box" I'd often thought he might have been the one who got away. We remained good friends till he passed 30 years later.
