This is a reproduction of the Levi's Vintage Clothing 1954 501ZXX.
The 501, which previously only had a button fly, now features a zip fly for the first time. Following the success of the boys' zip fly model 503Z in the 1950s, the company decided to expand its share to the East Coast.
They adopted a zip fly for the 501 for the first time, targeting the more sophisticated image of East Coast culture.
The zip fly uses TALON 42, and it's a model that features the Arcuate stitch, the one-sided BIG "E" RED TAB, and a leather patch from before the paper patch was adopted in 1955.
It has a realistic used color with overall light fading and soiling, as if it has been worn for many years, and also reproduces the honeycombs.
The silhouette is a slim tapered straight.
