Vintage U.S. Forest Service (USFS) field rucksack, identified as an FSS Type 1 canvas packsack, dating to the 1960s. This utilitarian pack was designed for rugged field use and reflects the durable, no-nonsense construction typical of mid-century U.S. government outdoor gear.
