This is a sharp pencil made by Kobo Setsugi, featuring a Karelian birch burl wood body.
Karelian birch comes in various types, and this pencil uses the highly valuable burl grain.
While Karelian birch often displays tiger stripe patterns, the burl grain is very rare. This product is similar to a micro-curly pattern.
Furthermore, it is an excellent wood, and its sufficient hardness means it won't dent even with a little rough handling.
