This is a vintage Moroccan jewelry or trinket box. It is artisan-made with hand-embossed metal and hand-carved camel bone inlay. The design features traditional Moorish/Islamic ornamentation and techniques. The camel bone panels feature engraved designs, representing eyes to ward off the "Evil Eye". These types of small dowry trunks are referred to as a "Sandok" in Moroccan culture.
Measures 6 7/8" long, 5 1/2" wide and 5 1/4" tall.
