Created in the late 1800's, this is a lovely oleograph (a lithographic print textured to resemble an oil painting) of Hugh de Twenebrokes Glazebrook's "Portrait of Rosaline". Due to the intricate printing process and the vibrant, high-quality colors used, oleographs can be relatively expensive. They have limited availability: Mainly produced in the late 19th - early 20th century, making them less prevalent in the market compared to lithographs.
Glazebrook was born at Hampstead in 1855 and was active in exhibiting between 1885 and 1928. In 1891 he was elected a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
