This is a magnificent vintage mid century, Orrefors Stenhammar Centerpiece Bowl, from the Master Glass makers in Sweden, and designed by Gunnar Cyren, who was a Swedish glass artist, silversmith and industrial designer. He worked for Orrefors Glassworks between 1959 and 1970. After that he designed, among other things, plastic for a few years, and then returned to the Orrefors in 1977. Formulated in the highest quality lead crystal, which produces sparkling and Ultra Transparent, clear crystal. The classic Stenhammar design includes deep vertical cuts all around the bowl and very thick walls. The bowl is etch signed on the bottom edge. Has a front logo sticker. Condition is very good with some very light wear to the base. One very fine scratch on one of the panels. See my photos only found by magnifying.
