Offered for sale is a vintage New Mexico studio raku face sculpture, signed “BH”, attributed to ceramic artist Barbara Harnack.
This handbuilt ceramic face displays classic raku firing characteristics including smoky reduction tones, subtle crackle, and incised linear detailing. The stylized facial features and surface treatment are consistent with Southwestern studio pottery from the late 1970’s 1980’s.

One stabilized corner repair (see photos). No other chips, cracks, or damage. Surface, glaze, and overall presentation are excellent. Repair is secure. I repaired it lightly with super glue, since I’m not a potter I didn’t want to try anything else. It’s not too noticeable from the front and a clean break no missing fragments.
