**Condition**: **AS IS / Distressed antique condition** consistent with age (Late Qing/Early 20th century). Paper mache body has significant yellowing and wear; **heavy paint loss to the gilt accents and hand-painted court lady motif** (facial details and garment colors are faded/missing in areas). Brass latch has heavy patina and is functional but stiff with age. Minor edge wear and surface scuffs to the paper mache structure; no major cracks or structural damage (see photos for full condition details).
**Material**: Paper mache (paper pulp/paper layering) core with lacquer finish, remaining traces of hand-painted mineral pigments, gilt accents, and brass hardware latch.
