2024 Leaf Metal "Signature Series" CRYSTAL refractor autograph card. Lott was a 4-time Super Bowl champion. He was actually drafted to play corner. But head coach Bill Walsh, who was a mastermind, moved him over to safety. Lott lacked the speed to be a standout corner back. But he had game speed. He hit like a locomotive. His football I.Q. was second to none. And he could diagnose what the offense was about to do. So Walsh had him put on some weight and more muscle. The result? Arguably the best safety in history. He was outstanding in support of stopping the run game. And receivers were flat out SCARED to go across the middle of the field. Before each game, he would read from the book "The Art Of War" by Sun Tzu. It kept him in a gladiator mindset. He had a pinky finger that continually got broken and dislocated. At halftime of an absolutely meaningless game, he had the medical staff amputate it so that he could keep playing. This 1/1 card is in PRISTINE condition! Price is firm.
