Made in early 1900s Japan

Given to me as a gift by my very wealthy Japanese neighbor, Along with two very old Japanese lanterns. (See my vintage Japanese lanterns listing if interested)
Vintage, rare & highly detailed. Never come across such a well made piece of art like this and as heavy. & unlike clay/ceramic, iron is much harder to create high detail
Dimensions approximate :
9.5" H at his highest x 9 1/8" L x 4 1/8" at widest
About 6" high at his lowest (bottom to his back)
In a few photos it looks glossy. It was just recently washed with water in those. Like pic 1. In others it's dry. Because it dried fast. And didn't attach photos in order. So just know it's never been painted or glossed/clear coated. The glossier pics was right after a water only wash
