People do not realize it today but the “Batman” live-action TV series & film released between the 1st & 2nd season were a major pop-art cultural phenomenon of the mid-1960s & extraordinarily popular. The show, based on the DC Comics characters, ran on TV for 120 episodes over 3 seasons from 1966 to 1968 where each week typically featured two episodes separated by a cliffhanger. The show starred Adam West (Batman) & Burt Ward (Robin) as the crime-fighting duo who defended Gotham City from a menagerie of arch supervillains. It was known for its camp style & upbeat, energetic theme music. A companion feature film was released in 1966 between the first & second seasons of the TV show.
This limited edition (82/215) 14-color art print (24”x36”) for “Batman” is created by Doug Pagacz & is in near mint to mint condition. This poster is vibrant & on high quality thick paper. It may have very slight wear & tear such as on corners or borders but is otherwise in fantastic condition.
