Original serigraph by Shabaka Napata (American, 20th C) titled "Ndebele Refractions Series, is Thembiso Si Kambulu" which translates to "This promise is empty.".... Signed and dated 1993...."For generations, the women of the South African Ndebele tribe have produced rich art."... This print potentially depicts African farmers & the government, as indicated by the pictures and title, and another found online by this artist, as well as the history of that region; in a layout of brightly colored geometric shapes... Framed and matted, black metal frame 20" x 16.5".
