Designed by Lie Sang Bong of Paris for Haengnam Chinaware Inc., made in Seoul, Korea 2008-2009. The design is a decal-printed beautiful ink water painting and the poem Counting the Stars at Night by Tong-ju Yun in calligraphic design. Yun (1917-1945) is a well-known Korean poet and author of the collection 'Heaven, Wind, Stars and Poetry'
Haengnam Chinaware Inc. is a respected Korean porcelain manufacturer whose works are held in major museum collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London. This piece reflects the modern Korean design aesthetic for which Haengnam is known.
