Levi's 501 Journal Standard Special Edition 501(R)

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the 501 model, the origin of jeans, four brands – Journal Standard, EDIFICE, Journal Standard Relume, and 417 by Edifice – will be dropping special edition models in 2023.

These exceptional pieces maintain the 501's straight silhouette while pursuing originality in details, processing, and sizing. The fabric uses 14.6oz 100% cotton.

With base colors of dark indigo and black, these jeans feature gentle damage processing on the pocket openings and hems, along with moderate vertical fading from the knees to the thighs and distressing on the side seams, creating a well-worn look.

While adhering to premium details such as the leather patch and the BIG E red tab, the most distinctive feature is the white bar tack on the right pocket, a new approach for the 501 and an iconic common detail for this collection.

While the base lengths are 28 and 30 inches, lengths of 26 inches are also available for waist sizes 40 and 44 inches, achieving a perfect silhouette with a just-right length even when worn oversized.

Another characteristic is that the sales locations differ for each color. The indigo color will be available at Journal Standard and Journal Standard Relume, while the black color will be available at Edifice and 417 by Edifice, making this a special collaborative product to celebrate the 501's anniversary year nationwide.
