Miriam Haskell signed double chain milk glass necklace

Call them winter or chalk white, milk glass, seasonal summer or cruise beads, Miriam Haskell's 40’s/50’s vintage bright white jewelry became a ubiquitous fashion statement of the era. The beads, as well as Haskell's famous faux pearls, were closely associated with her signature style. Embellished clasps and complementing extension tails of necklaces, integral components of the design, defined both form and function.

The two strand necklace presented, features a top row of uniformly sized opaque white glass beads spaced with tiny seed beads. The bottom stand is comprised of larger, uniformly sized opaque white beads, separated again with tiny seed beads. Strands are drawn up and secured into filigree end caps culminating in a signature Haskell wired bead embellished hook and oppositely, beaded extension tail.

The necklace is approximately 15” Top row beads are approximately 8 millimeters; bottom row, about 10 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is 78 grams.
