This item is a large, round decorative serving tray known as the "Murkla" (sometimes listed as "Offentlig") series, designed by Swedish artist Lisa Bengtsson for IKEA.
The design features a bold, graphic, and colorful circular pattern resembling a mandala or abstract mosaic. Key elements include:
A solid white center circle.
Concentric rings of pattern in blue, purple, and black on a white background.
The outermost ring is a white background covered in fine black dots, interspersed with large, abstract, jagged shapes in a vibrant turquoise blue.
Inner rings feature various geometric motifs, including a band of purple and black diamond/zigzag patterns and an orange speckled band, all outlined with small dots.
The tray is made from a durable coated board and measures approximately 43 cm (about 17 inches) in diameter. This design was part of a limited-run designer collection released around 2014-2015.
