“Originally from India, I relocated to the USA in the 1960’s. Although I practiced medicine in the Madison area until the late 1980’s, I also loved the world of art. My creativity was triggered at an early age by my very colorful and vibrant surroundings; as a child I was influenced by the rhythms and rich colors of my exotic country. The daily rituals of India begged to be recorded in my watercolors and clay sculptures. My love of animals and nature is also reflected in my paintings and sculptures. I presently live in rural Deerfield, WI and own my own art gallery, The Blue Iris Gallery.I am surrounded by beautiful views and have gardens all around me for inspiration. I’ve also found that as an adult, the kaleidoscopic nature of the USA, especially Madison and its people, have been of great impact on my work.”
