U.S. Military Surplus

A drawstring bag made of canvas, called a "Valuables Bag."
It seems these were produced from the 1940s in khaki, through the 1950s and late 1960s to the 1980s in olive drab and olive green.
Each bag is numbered, and a metal plate with the same number is included.

It is likely a tag for exchange when retrieving valuables after they were deposited.
Specimens with these tags remaining are extremely rare.
Even the bags themselves are scarce, but a set in such clean condition with the tag is difficult to obtain.

Although there is a feeling that water has passed through it, it is only age-related deterioration, with no tears or scratches, and no signs of the drawstring being tightened, suggesting it is deadstock in mint condition.
Items from the Vietnam War era in good condition are becoming depleted.
