This is a work by Mr. Hattori, an Edo Komon artist. The artist's name and signature are on the underside of the garment.
It is a piece dyed in a deep dove-gray purple with an Edo Komon pattern, using a stippling technique.
There is a snap closure on the collar lining.
The lining is silk.
The hagari (skirt lining) is a calm fuji-nezu (wisteria gray) gradation.
It has basting stitches and is hand-sewn.
