This is a beautiful vintage black 1940 L C Smith Corona Comet 1W Series. The low serial # 1W 11175 was made in 1940.
Typewriter comes with it original case.
Condition: * Typewriter is in very good condition. All the keys type without sticking and return good.
*I could not get the it to type using the red ink part of the ribbon, do not believe that the key for the red ribbon is working.
*Everything else seems to be in good working order. Such as paper feed, back space, margin release, ribbon feed, original spools and bell work well. The chrome ring around metal key pads is in great condition.
*There is a little corrosion on the chrome paper advance bar.
* Typewriter does need to be cleaned.
Typewriter measures approximately 11" wide, 12.5" depth and 5" high.
The case is in its original condition and has some wear on edges and corners and has scratches due to age. Clasp is secure and works good. Hinges and handle are in good shape.
Case measures approximately 13" by 13" by 5.75"
