Vintage Southwestern Sterling Silver Overlay Petroglyph Earrings- Artist Signed

An unusual and striking pair of earrings crafted in the overlay technique. The design in the brushed upper sheet of silver is finely cut and contrasts well against the oxidized background. The bump-outs give the appearance that the sheets of silver were riveted together. The lower sheet also has a brushed finish with pinked (zig zag) edges. The overall style is a combo of modernist and traditional merged with a bit of industrial. The earrings measure 1 1/8' tall and are also 1 1/8" at the widest. Stamped on the reverse "Sterling" and have the artists' mark "V/W '93" written in electric pen. Combined weight of 7.6 grams. In very nice vintage condition and will be sure to gain a compliment o three.
