This is the largest private collection of these I have seen. The ONY bigger collection MAY be in a Civil War Museum...but that is also unknown!! These are extremely rare and are almost impossible to find in these conditions! Every issue is in a protective bag!
The First issue of this weekly Newspaper was first published during World War I on August 22, 1914 and ran until the Final issue, released on February 8, 1919.
The War Illustrated was a British war magazine published in London by The Daily Telegraph. It was first released on 22 August 1914, eighteen days after the United Kingdom declared war on Germany, and regular issues continued throughout the First World War.
