This is a particularly rare piece of cocobolo wood, now difficult to obtain, featuring Genpei-moku (a type of wood grain with contrasting colors).
In addition to the unique appearance of reddish-brown and pale sections, this piece has beautiful sasa-moku (bamboo-like grain) that is not immediately apparent but becomes visible depending on the angle.
It also has the deep luster characteristic of cocobolo, making it a very high-quality piece.
