Hermes 'Republique Francaise Liberte Egalite Fraternite' silk scarf. This dramatic scarf was first issued in 1989 at the 200-year anniversary of France as a republic. This design is by Joachim Metz, and celebrates France becoming a Republic. Bold and thick black trim with a red background. Gold details with lots of red, white and blue to represent the French flag. 100% silk with a hand rolled hem. Excellent vintage condition. 36" x 36". Dry cleaned.
