These are French army-style, with an impressive pleated design and a unique, voluminous silhouette. Considering the recent high level of interest, many of you may know that there's a shorts version of the French Army M52 Chino.
The fabric with its uneven texture and the unique silhouette are just like the full-length chinos, possessing characteristics you won't find elsewhere, making these shorts very appealing.
We've selected size 5 of these deadstock M52 chino shorts and incorporated elastic in the back of the waistband to maintain the unique wide silhouette, which is the biggest feature of these shorts, while significantly improving wearability.
"Sizes 5 and 6 offer a good balance of width and length"

Smaller sizes are considered rare for the full-length M52, but for shorts, I personally don't recommend smaller sizes as much. This is because, unlike full-length pants, the length of shorts is almost the same regardless of the size, so the balance of width and length isn't as good in smaller sizes. Of course, it depends on the wearer's body type, but I believe that sizes 5 and above offer a good silhouette balance of width and length.

"The difficulty of wearing oversized pants"

Those who regularly wear oversized clothing will likely understand this, but when someone with a small waist wears a larger size and tightens it with a belt, it can be difficult to gather the fabric neatly, and the appearance can suffer. With this elastic processing, by inserting elastic only in the back, the front looks very clean, allowing you to wear the oversized shorts beautifully without the bunching of fabric that often occurs when wearing regular oversized clothing.
