The "toile shirt" is made solely for wearing, with all unnecessary elements removed.
The pattern work minimizes skin contact, providing good ventilation and a light, comfortable feel.
This season, it's made with a wool-dominant fabric, designed to be worn as a mid-layer when the temperature drops. While the fabric is soft, the three-dimensional pattern making allows the hood to be an accent even when worn as an inner layer.

Wear it like a shirt over a cut-and-sew.
With the addition of the hood, it's even more recommended to wear it as a mid-layer under a jacket.
