This is a 1944 WWII model of the Valencia-made Levi's S501XX. The 555 stamp on the back of the top button indicates that it was manufactured at the Valencia factory in the United States between 1996 and 2003. The Valencia factory closed in 2003, so its rarity has increased, making it very popular. This item is a LEVI'S S501XX WWII model. Among the "501" models with a long history, the models manufactured during World War II (1942-46) are somewhat of a niche model, also known as the "WWII (World War II) model."
