About SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles

SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles is a new label launched by Mr. Yuichi Fukutomi of Sugar Cane, bringing together denim specialists. Commonly known as "SCSC". This time, they have welcomed Mr. Shigeki Wakitani, one of the world's leading vintage denim collectors, to completely reproduce the "individuality" of valuable deadstock & golden size super vintage pieces that are now considered unobtainable.

The original deadstock is

At first glance, it looks like the 1937 model, but it is a very rare early 1942 model with the "Copyright 1942" notation at the bottom of the flasher.

It was only produced for a short period from April to August 1942, and the back strap and crotch rivets are still not omitted.

While the 1937 model used the heads of regular copper rivets to crush the concealed rivet part, this model uses special iron rivets.

Along with this change, the "CONCEALED COPPER RIVETS" on the flasher was changed to "CONCEALED POCKET RIVETS".

The denim fabric with a clearly different thickness and unevenness from the 1937 model, and the specially made iron buckle with black plating that can only be seen in this model. The tack on the back of the button uses a copper-plated type.
