Signed Advance Reader’s Copy / Uncorrected Proof trade paperback edition of City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare (Margaret K. McElderry, 2008). Books two in the young adult fantasy series, The Mortal Instruments. Incredibly rare pre-publication copy with limited distribution, intended to garner reviews and for grassroots promotion. Flat signed by Clare on half title page. Moderate wear to covers with chipping, creasing and small tears around the edges. Corners bumped and creased. A few instances of mildly split binding though spine remains fairly straight and binding is firm on the whole. Text block slightly curved and with some soiling to outer edges. Some very sparse underlining and margin notes. See photos for condition.
