This large piece came from the collection of the British High Commissioner to the Solomon Islands in the 1980s. It's a very close pair to the same one presented to Queen Elizabeth the Second which is now in the Royal Windsor collection. Carved from hardwood and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. It really is a stunning piece of tribal art and history. All my items are in the UK and we try to ship next day.
