Delightful matching pair of Japanese porcelain display plates, each set with a finely detailed Chokin metal engraving: Plate 1: Geisha with parasol and pagoda background Plate 2: Two graceful swans among reeds and water The Art of Chokin is a traditional Japanese craft where pure copper is etched and gilded with silver and 24 kt gold, originally used to decorate Samurai armour and handed down for centuries. Both plates approx. 4" diameter Pre-owned; very good vintage condition with only light base-ring wear. No chips or cracks.
