Sterling silver keeper ring. Keeper rings originate from the 18th/19th century and were worn to show love/commitment. This particular one has two rows and is fully hallmarked - I can read the maker's initials LDP and the anchor for Birmingham, but unfortunately I can't tell what the date letter is. Inner diameter is about 17 & 2/3 mm - as it's got quite a broad band, I would say it's a size O. Could be worn by either a man (as a pinky ring) or a woman. Weighs 5.11 grams. In very good condition with light signs of wear consistent with age/normal use.
