Vintage Zhongguo Jingdezhen Ginger Jar / Tea Caddy

This is a Chinese lidded porcelain jar, a decorative ginger jar or tea caddy. Material & Finish: White glazed porcelain with brightly colored enamel decoration. The jar is decorated with Foo dogs (Chinese guardian lions) in multiple colors (yellow, blue, green, red), a traditional Chinese protective motif. Between the lions are stylized lotus or floral medallions with scrolling ribbons. The rim and base feature geometric and cloud motifs in red, yellow, blue, and green. The lid has a pointed knop finial, decorated with matching floral and scroll patterns. Vintage from late 20th century to early 21st century (1980s–2000s). Stamped red Chinese mark on porcelain reads 中国景德镇 ‘Zhongguo Jingdezhen’ (China, Jingdezhen), MADE IN CHINA and with Jingdezhen factory number 07 at the bottom. Please do not negotiate the price.
