Beautiful vintage Japanese porcelain rice bowls, offered as a matching set of four. Each bowl features a hand-painted ebi shrimp (prawn) motif in iron-red with black detailing and subtle gilt accents. The interiors are finished in white with a fine gold rim, and the bowls sit on short footed bases with red seal marks on the underside.
These bowls date to the mid-20th century and were likely produced for the Japanese export market. A wonderful set for collectors of Asian ceramics or for elegant table display.
