According to Google Lens this is a British Military Cap Badge, however, it does have a pin on the back, so I am not sure that is the case, however, I can't find anything like it. It is really cool and has as much to see on the back as it does on the front. I'd be willing to be someone knows exactly what it is. It is old, but likely not older than WWII unless the pin has been changed. It is about 1.5" long and 1.25" wide. It may have previously been a gold tone color and has worn off.
