Presented here is a set of three collectors plates. These plates were produced by Royal Cornwall in 1978 and were designed by JC Leyendecker. Only 10,000 were made. These plates are from set #8836.
Plate #1
“Child of Peace” featuring the Virgin Mary holding the Baby Jesus. Stored in original box for 45 years.
Certificate of authenticity for plate #1 and Plate #3
Plate #3 is entitled “Most Precious Gift” and shows Mary praying over the infant Jesus while he lays in a bed.
Stored in original box for 45 years.
Plate #4, “We Three Kings”, shows the kings kneeling and presenting their gifts. This plate was out of box but absolutely pristinely stored.
All three are in excellent condition even though they were purchased in the late 1970s.
These are exceptionally high quality collectors plates, with a large, raised 24 karat band of gold on the edges, and exquisite detail throughout. Truly heirloom quality.
Each plate measures approximately 9” across.
