An antique Japanese Meiji period pitcher made in the 19 c which is 1801-1900. It is 5 1/4 inches tall. It has three red Kenji marks made by Kutani. Kutani is a region and it means nine valleys. It measures 5 1/4 inches tall. The opening is 3 inches in diameter. It measures 5 inches deep. It measures 5 inches wide from the spout to the end of the handle. The handle measures 3 1/2 inches from the bottom to the top of the handle. The bottom of the pitcher measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter. The middle of the picture measures 9 inches in diameter. It is hand-painted with geishas, flowers, and houses. The bottom the top and the handle are painted an iron red color. Was pictures in perfect condition no cracks no breaks no scratches it is made out of bone china and has substantial weight to it. It has ribbed edges around the pitcher.
