Antique Portieux Vallerysthal epergne in clear glass. Made in France. 2 pieces: trumpet vase and dish. Both pieces have a ribbed pattern that catches light beautifully. Scalloped edges. Total height is about 9 inches. Dish part is about 5 inches high, 6 1/2 inches diameter. Trumpet vase is 6 inches high. Good condition for age and use. Has a bubble with a smaller one next to it below dish rim. Small stone on one rib of dish, and some fleabites. All from the manufacturing process and typical of the period. Tip of trumpet that inserts into dish has some wear and a chip on the edge from use. An eye catching piece for collecting or display.
